Sen. Looks To Reaffirm Congress' Oversight Of Trade Talks

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 5:39 PM ET) -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, introduced legislation Wednesday that he said would reassert congressional regulation over trade negotiations and protect domestic automotive and manufacturing jobs.

The Ohio senator, joined at a press conference call by Ford Motor Co. Vice President for International Governmental Affairs Stephen Biegun and Teamsters President James P. Hoffa, said his 21st Century Trade Agreements and Market Act was meant to stop the leak of domestic jobs to foreign countries by ensuring “that American trading partners play by the same rules as the U.S.”...
