Law360, New York (June 29, 2012, 7:54 PM ET) -- An unexpected twist in the U.S. Supreme Court's health law ruling may make it easier for states to opt out of the law's Medicaid expansion, a prospect that health care providers say could do serious damage to their bottom lines.
The law calls for states to expand their Medicaid programs to everyone who makes up to 133 percent of the federal poverty line, a major expansion expected to bring 16 million more people into Medicaid nationwide.
