Law360, New York (September 20, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Senate Judiciary Committee has passed legislation that, if it becomes law, will purportedly increase competition and fairness by repealing the railroad antitrust exemptions.
The bill, known as the Railroad Antitrust Enforcement Act of 2007, passed the Senate Judiciary Committee by a voice vote on Thursday and will now move to the full Senate. A companion bill is currently pending in the House Judiciary Committee.
