Law360, New York (July 18, 2012, 1:09 PM ET) -- Earlier this year, Russia acceded to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions, and then-President Dmitry Medvedev[1] proposed a draft National Anti-Corruption Plan for 2012–2013 ("national plan"). In an April Law360 article, we cast those developments as positive steps in Russia’s efforts to modernize its business environment and anti-corruption laws, and suggested that the developments might provide a needed shot in the arm for Russian anti-corruption enforcement efforts.[2]
