Law360, New York (August 03, 2012, 8:18 PM ET) -- A bipartisan group of U.S. senators announced a bid Friday to protect up to $1.2 billion in funding for reclaiming abandoned mines over the next 10 years, money they say was improperly tapped to fund Congress' recently approved $120 billion highway bill.
