Law360, New York (August 07, 2012, 8:09 PM ET) -- A new bill shielding cartel whistleblowers from retaliation by their employers is unlikely to help the U.S. Department of Justice's criminal antitrust enforcement efforts because it doesn't provide financial incentives for workers to come forward, attorneys say.
The legislation, introduced last week by Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, would allow whistleblowers to lodge complaints about suspected retaliation with the U.S. Department of Labor.
