Pa. Towns Ask High Court For Quick Review Of Fracking Law

Law360, New York (August 07, 2012, 8:04 PM ET) -- Seven Pennsylvania municipalities that have sued to overturn a state law designed to encourage gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale asked the state Supreme Court Friday for an expedited review of the Commonwealth Court's decision to toss the law.

The municipalities' request followed a similar one from the state's Public Utilities Commission, which first appealed the Commonwealth Court's ruling then submitted a request for an expedited review of the controversial Act 13 on July 30.
