Law360, New York (August 08, 2012, 8:19 PM ET) -- The U.S. Senate once again returned the D.C. Circuit judicial nomination of Caitlin Halligan, the former head of Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP's appellate practice group, to the White House on Tuesday as the Senate went into recess.
Last week, the Senate was unable to obtain unanimous consent to hold all of the current judicial nominees in status quo when a Republican senator objected to Halligan, currently the general counsel for the New York County District Attorney's Office.
