Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 9:10 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior on Wednesday issued a final rule tightening offshore drilling safety standards developed in the wake of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement completed a final set of adjustments to the rule, which the agency originally imposed as a set of emergency measures and later opened for input from industry and other stakeholders.
