Law360, New York (February 14, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has amended its regulations to reduce the number of radiation monitoring reports to nuclear power plant workers and to exempt certain containers in these facilities from labeling requirements.
The agency’s rule, which becomes effective Friday, aims to cut down on the amount of paperwork and regulatory burdens on the NRC and state licensees while maintaining safety standards for workers and the environment.
