5 Calif. Laws Experts Say Could Use A Facelift

Law360, San Diego (October 23, 2013, 11:00 PM ET) -- With California’s governor recently wrapping up his final review of bills passed by the Legislature for 2013, legal experts say several state laws remain in dire need of reform, including requirements that businesses post warnings of potentially harmful chemicals and a decades-old medical malpractice damages cap.

Of the 896 bills that cleared the state Legislature this session, Gov. Jerry Brown signed 800 measures into law and vetoed 96 by the Oct. 13 deadline. But legal experts looking forward to next year say plenty of existing laws...
