Law360, New York (July 14, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- Nearly 200 lawmakers are pushing the federal agency that operates Medicare to postpone broad changes that might cut reimbursement levels for procedures involving such medical devices as implantable defibrillators and coronary stents.
A slew of U.S. senators and a group of U.S. representatives have sent letters to Mark McClellan, the administrator for the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, that voice growing concerns over a proposed overhaul of the hospital payment system.
