Senate Panel Delays Talks On Patent Reform Bill

Law360, New York (March 19, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A U.S. Senate panel has decided to hold off on discussing a bill that seeks to overhaul the patent system after several senators voiced concerns regarding a hotly debated proposal to pare damages in patent infringement litigation.

The Senate Judiciary Committee had scheduled an executive business meeting to review S. 515 this week, but leading members of the panel on Thursday pushed the meeting off until March 26 in light of a letter sent by a group of senators urging for more meetings on the damages...
