Law360, New York (November 01, 2011, 2:32 PM ET) -- Real estate investment trust Macerich Co. is gaining steam after a positive year and entered a $200 million joint venture with shopping center developer AWE Talisman to launch a fashion outlet complex near Chicago, Macerich announced Tuesday.
Macerich, a major developer and owner of retail projects, is taking a 60 percent stake in the Fashion Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont, Ill., a two-level, 528,000-square-foot complex neighboring the city’s bustling O’Hare International Airport, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
