Law360, New York (May 18, 2012, 6:48 PM ET) -- A federal judge on Friday halted an Oklahoma Indian tribe’s efforts to build a 450-gaming-machine casino, siding with the state's allegations that the tribe had flouted the approval process.
The Oklahoma attorney general sued the Kialegee Indian tribe in federal court in February, claiming the tribe had no rights to establish the casino in the town of Broken Arrow, a suburb of Tulsa. The tribe broke ground on the Red Clay Casino in December.
