Law360, New York (May 24, 2012, 6:43 PM ET) -- The New York Landmarks Preservation Commission has delayed a vote on a developer's plans to build a new nine-story luxury condominium in Tribeca, siding with local opinions that the modernist building would literally overshadow its neighbors.
In its second major defeat in recent months, Tribeca Development Partners LLC, which is a joint venture between New York developer Steven Schnall and Gold Development LLC, failed to get a certificate of appropriateness for the Tribeca building in the meeting Tuesday.
