Real Estate Investors Cop To Bid Rigging In DOJ Probe

Law360, New York (June 08, 2012, 6:53 PM ET) -- Two real estate investors pled guilty Thursday in a California federal court for their part in a bid-rigging and mail-fraud conspiracy at Northern California public real estate foreclosure auctions, in violation of the Sherman Act.

The U.S. Department of Justice said felony charges were filed against Douglas Ditmer of San Ramon, Calif., and Keith Slipper of Oakland, making them the 23rd and 24th individuals to plead guilty as part of the DOJ’s ongoing antitrust investigation into bid rigging and mail fraud at public real estate foreclosure...
