Law360, New York (June 28, 2012, 12:11 PM ET) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday opted not to rule on the validity of a homeowner's suit against a title agency over alleged kickbacks, saying the case was "improvidently granted" review.
Without elaborating on its reasoning, the high court said it should not have taken up the case against First American Title Insurance Co., last heard in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in the first place.
