Ex-UBS Strategist Accuses Firm Of Retaliatory Firing

Law360, New York (August 02, 2012, 11:19 PM ET) -- A former commercial mortgage-backed securities strategist on Thursday accused a UBS AG unit of firing him in retaliation for telling his supervisors he was being pressured to produce false and misleading reports.

In a complaint filed in the Southern District of New York, former securities strategist Trevor Murray said UBS Securities LLC violated the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, both of which protect whistleblowers from retaliation for reporting what they believe to be illegal practices.
