Law360, New York (February 05, 2013, 2:59 PM ET) -- Century 21 Real Estate LLC was hit with a lawsuit Tuesday in New Jersey federal court alleging the company attempted to coerce a franchise into merging with a larger, more successful franchise and withheld business referrals when it refused.
Merge Inc. contends it lost hundreds of thousands in earnings and ultimately lost its franchise when Century 21 allegedly rerouted the business referrals it would normally send Merge to Merge's larger competitor, Century 21 Alliance, after Merge denied the main headquarter's entreaties to join Century 21 Alliance....
