Law360, New York (March 15, 2013, 4:44 PM ET) -- A Texas bill that would impose new deductible disclosure requirements on property insurers easily won the state Senate's approval on Wednesday, after lawmakers tacked on an amendment that creates additional notice obligations.
With a 31-0 vote, S.B. 112 sailed through the Texas Senate and now heads to the state House of Representatives. The reform bill calls on Texas insurance carriers to list and explain each deductible in homeowners' policies and their exact dollar amounts.
