Mass. House Approves Compact For $500M Tribal Casino

Law360, New York (October 11, 2013, 2:08 PM ET) -- In a key nod for an embattled $500 million tribal casino proposal, the Massachusetts' House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a gambling compact with the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe that pushes the project forward.

The 116-38 vote moves the compact, inked between the tribe and Governor Deval Patrick, to the state Senate's floor.
