CNET CEO Abdicates In Face Of Options Probe

Law360, New York (October 11, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- The co-founder and chief executive officer of CNET Networks Inc. has resigned in the wake of the scandal involving the backdating of employee stock options by the San Francisco media publisher.

On Wednesday, CNET Networks revealed that Shelby Bonnie had vacated his position, three months after the conglomerate admitted that it would have to restate its financial results for 2003, 2004 and 2005 due to errors connected with the options manipulation.
