Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 2:02 PM ET) -- A federal judge has denied former Qwest Communications International Inc. CEO Joseph Nacchio's bid for a new trial on insider trading charges, while Nacchio and federal prosecutors traded arguments over the monetary penalty he should pay.
Judge Marcia S. Krieger of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado on Tuesday rejected Nacchio's claim that a deposition of a former Qwest officer after Nacchio's conviction had revealed new evidence that could have changed the outcome of Nacchio's trial.
