Madoff Kin Say They're No Bernie, Want Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (March 16, 2010, 6:51 PM ET) -- Relatives of jailed Ponzi mastermind Bernard Madoff have asked a bankruptcy court to throw out claims against them, saying they too were victims of his scheming.

Madoff's brother, two sons and niece filed motions Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York to dismiss a nearly $200 million adversary case against them brought by Irving H. Picard, the liquidating trustee for Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
