K&S Claims It Overpaid Rohm & Haas For Morton Salt

Law360, New York (January 03, 2011, 7:59 PM ET) -- K&S AG has filed a breach of contract suit alleging that the Dow Chemical Co.'s Rohm & Haas subsidiary overcharged the German fertilizer producer in its $1.6 billion acquisition of Morton Salt.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, K&S maintains that Rohm & Haas should refund $14.6 million of the price of the Morton deal, which made K&S the world's largest salt producer.
