SEC Hits Ex-Dewey Atty With Insider Trading Suit

Law360, New York (March 07, 2011, 11:30 PM ET) -- A former associate at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP’s New York office was sued Monday by the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission for allegedly trading in the stock of companies whose acquisitions he helped advise.

Todd Leslie Treadway made $27,000 in trades based on insider information about buyers and sellers in major deals, the SEC alleged in a suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Treadway engaged in insider trading on two occasions, the SEC says.
