Fulbright Settles Suit Over Ponzi Scheme Defense Fees

Law360, New York (November 08, 2011, 6:23 PM ET) -- Fulbright & Jaworski LLP on Monday settled claims that it improperly received client fees for representing Utah-based Ponzi schemer and former VesCor Capital Corp. principal Val E. Southwick.

According to a motion to approve the settlement, the Texas-based law firm said it would hand over an undisclosed amount in payments to VesCor receiver Robert G. Wing in exchange for a release from all claims related to Southwick. The parties agreed to keep the settlement amount confidential, the motion said.
