CNET Backdating Probe Dropped By SEC

Law360, New York (September 05, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Online publisher CNET Networks Inc. has received some good news from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company revealed Tuesday that the SEC has closed its investigation into its stock options-granting practices without recommending any enforcement actions.

The company said in a brief filing with the SEC that it had received notice from the regulator that the probe had ended.
