Law360, New York (June 29, 2012, 11:29 PM ET) -- An arbitrator determined Wednesday that a former Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP securities and insurance partner was not entitled to receive retirement benefits under the partnership agreement after he withdrew from the firm to join Locke Lord LLP.
Arbitrator Charlotte Moses Fischman determined that Michael F. Perlis, a Stroock partner for 22 years, was not eligible for retirement benefits because he had quit several years before the mandatory retirement age and was still practicing law at another firm.
