US Seeks Leniency For Galleon Mole

Law360, New York (January 28, 2013, 2:31 PM ET) -- Prosecutors on Friday asked a New York federal judge for leniency in the upcoming sentencing of former Galleon Group LLC employee Roomy Khan, an admitted insider trader who became a key government cooperator, citing her “substantial assistance.”

“Khan has provided substantial assistance to the government in various insider trading investigations,” prosecutors wrote in a letter to U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff, who is scheduled to sentence Khan on Thursday.
