Law360, New York (February 26, 2013, 1:39 PM ET) -- The Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday approved the nomination of Jacob J. Lew, President Barack Obama's choice to be the next Treasury secretary, in a bipartisan vote, moving the nomination to a vote by the full Senate.
Lew's nomination received the votes of 19 committee members, including six Republicans, even though questions remained about bonuses and severance pay that Lew received upon leaving posts at Citigroup Inc. and New York University, respectively. Five Republicans voted against the nomination.
