EMC Info Processing Patent Infringement Suit Ditched

Law360, New York (June 16, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- After finding EMC Corp. had plenty of fight, patent-holding companies Millennium LP and Eon-Net LP have backed away from the technology company, and the court has dismissed allegations EMC infringed several patents related to information processing.

On Tuesday, Judge Peter G. Sheridan of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey dismissed the allegations with prejudice while noting that the dismissal does not extend to third parties acquired by EMC in the future that are not licensees of the patents-in-suit.
