Law360, New York (April 16, 2010, 5:08 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to Sony Corp.'s request to launch an investigation into TPV International Inc., Viewsonic Corp. and the former Innolux Corp., which are accused of importing digital televisions and computer monitors that infringe 10 Sony patents.
All six ITC commissioners voted to launch the investigation, according to a voting sheet filed Thursday. In its March complaint, Sony alleged the three companies' imports, which come mostly from China, violate Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
