Aloft Hits Xerox, 13 Others With Software Patent Suit

Law360, New York (May 17, 2010, 1:04 PM ET) -- Texas-based patent-holding company Aloft Media LLC has sued Xerox Corp. and several software and stock research companies, accusing them of infringing two patents that cover computer decision-making technology.

The defendants infringe two Aloft patents issued in September, Aloft alleges in a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

The patents-in-suit — titled “Decision-making system, method and computer program product” — cover a system, method and computer program that provide a “collaborative decision platform” adapted to run a computer, according...
