Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 6:36 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission voted Friday to proceed with a Section 337 investigation into whether Apple Inc.'s imports of iPhone, iPad and iPod products infringe five of HTC Corp.'s patents covering hardware and software used in portable electronic devices.
Taiwan-based HTC lodged the complaint on May 12, alleging Apple infringed the patents by importing into the U.S. the China-made products, and seeking an exclusion order to halt further imports.
