Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 3:01 PM ET) -- Apple Inc. has become the latest defendant to settle infringement allegations from Sharing Sound LLC over a patent for online music distribution, joining Microsoft Corp., Napster LLC and others.
Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas signed off on the settlement Wednesday, clearing Apple of allegations that it infringed U.S. Patent Number 6,247,130, titled “Distribution of musical products by a website vendor over the Internet."
