UK Court Tells Ofcom To Cut Price Caps For BT Group

Law360, New York (October 12, 2010, 6:07 PM ET) -- A U.K. competition court has ordered phone giant BT Group PLC to cut the fees it charges other phone companies for access to its connection services, ruling that the country's communications regulator gaffed by setting price caps that were too high.

The Competition Appeal Tribunal ruled on Monday that the U.K. Office of Communications, an independent communications regulator and competition authority, must adopt new, lower price controls “as soon as possible.”
