Carlyle Weighs $3B Buyout Of CommScope

Law360, New York (October 25, 2010, 3:41 PM ET) -- The Carlyle Group is in talks with telecommunications equipment company CommScope Inc. regarding a deal in which Carlyle would buy all of CommScope's outstanding common stock for $31.50 per share, or around $3 billion.

Hickory, N.C.-based CommScope said Monday that it was in discussions with Carlyle regarding the transaction, which would make CommScope a private company.
