Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 6:27 PM ET) -- A federal appeals court on Friday threw out the conviction of former McAfee Inc. Chief Financial Officer Prabhat Goyal on securities fraud and other charges, admonishing federal prosecutors at length for overreaching in their bid to secure a conviction.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled that Goyal should be acquitted on all counts because no juror could have found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
