Law360, New York (January 03, 2011, 3:51 PM ET) -- A federal judge has tossed a $500 million antitrust suit accusing a nonprofit patent-holding company and telecommunications giants Verizon Communications Inc., Cisco Systems Inc. and Ericsson Inc. of conspiring to strong-arm small patent owners and licensors out of business.
On Wednesday, Judge Denise Cote of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found that plaintiff Siti-Sites.com Inc. lacked standing to bring claims under antitrust laws because it was not the direct victim of the alleged violations.
