Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 12:22 PM ET) -- The former controller of Terra Telecommunications Corp. has been sentenced to two years in prison for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in a scheme to bribe officials at Haiti's state-owned national telecommunications company.
Judge Jose E. Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Friday imposed the two-year sentence on Antonio Perez, 52, who pled guilty in April 2009 to violating the FCPA and money laundering laws.
