In Escalating Patent Dispute, South Korea Launches Probe Of Panasonic Plasma TVs

Law360, New York (November 04, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a marked escalation of the patent dispute between two giant Japanese and South Korean electronics makers, a Korean government agency has agreed to launch an investigation into Panasonic Korea for its alleged infringement of patents for plasma display panel technology.

The Trade Committee under the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, confirmed the probe on Thursday after receiving a complaint from LG Electronics.
