LG Struck With Class Action Over Smartphone Defects

Law360, New York (July 18, 2011, 5:50 PM ET) -- LG Electronics MobileComm USA Inc. was hit with a putative class action in California on Monday claiming one of its smartphones is plagued by power off and screen defects that the company has failed to remedy in violation of warranties.

Plaintiff Terry Horvarth seeks to represent a class of all those who have purchased an LG P999 G2X mobile phone, which was released in the spring.
