Timeline Sues Cognos Over Software Patents

Law360, New York (November 06, 2003, 12:00 AM ET) -- Enterprise software maker Timeline sued Canadian rival Cognos and its U.S. subsidiary in Federal District Court for Western Washington, alleging patent infringement, Timeline said Thursday.

The lawsuit seeks damages and to enjoin Cognos from any further licensing of some of its software modules in the U.S.
