LG-Ericsson Devices Step On Network Patent: Suit

Law360, New York (November 21, 2011, 8:02 PM ET) -- Brandywine Communications Technologies LLC hit its South Korean rival LG-Ericsson Co. Ltd. with a suit in Florida federal court on Monday, saying LG-Ericsson has infringed its patent for a small office network communications control device.

Pennsylvania-based Brandywine says LG-Ericsson and its U.S. subsidiary are infringing a patent issued to three inventors in 1994 titled “Integrated communications control device for a small office configured for coupling within a scalable network."

The infringing products are LG-Ericsson's IPECS-LIK, IPECS-CM and IPECS Micro communication devices, according to the complaint....
