Law360, New York (February 27, 2012, 2:32 PM ET) -- IBM Corp. has agreed to license three software sharing and networking patents from BackWeb Technologies Ltd. as part of a settlement to end an infringement suit in California federal court, BackWeb said Monday.
The settlement resolves a dispute over patents that IBM allegedly infringed with its Tivoli Provisioning Manager for Software, which allows computers to share software over a network without serious disruptions to the network's bandwidth, according to BackWeb's suit, filed in 2010.
