Law360, Washington (March 09, 2012, 3:55 PM ET) -- Research and development laboratory Walker Digital LLC on Friday told the Federal Circuit that a lower court's misinterpretation of computer processes and patent language had caused the company to lose a patent case against Microsoft Inc. over Web searches launched by a computer application.
The case centers around a Walker patent for launching a search from a computer application, like a word processor or spreadsheet program, while allowing the user to continue to work on the document.
