Law360, New York (September 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- NTP Inc., a patent-holding company best known for successfully suing BlackBerry maker Research In Motion Ltd. for patent infringement, has asserted some of the same patents at issue in that suit against four wireless companies.
In complaints filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, NTP alleged that the mobile e-mail products and services offered by Sprint Nextel Corp., Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility LLC and T-Mobile USA Inc. infringe eight NTP patents covering the use of wireless e-mail systems.
