Trial Axed In Apple, Motorola Smartphone Patent War

Law360, Chicago (June 07, 2012, 4:06 PM ET) -- An Illinois federal judge on Thursday canceled the trial in Apple Inc. and Motorola's smartphone patent infringement war that was to begin June 11 after finding during a hearing, and ruling "tentatively" in an order later, that both companies' damages theories fell flat.
